SMS Data Products Group Inc. awarded NNMC Task Order
McLean, VA | September 27, 2002 -- SMS Data Products Group, Inc., a leading network and systems integration firm, announced today that the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) has awarded a Task Order under the SMS GSA Schedule for IT engineering services. This Task Order is to provide engineering and project management services for the migration of NNMC servers and workstations from a variety of Microsoft Operating Systems, to a homogeneous Windows 2000 environment.
The NNMC enterprise encompasses approximately 5000 user workstations, distributed among its Bethesda campus, and at 16 remote medical treatment facilities. The NNMC software suite includes 54 specialized software applications related to patient, beneficiary and medical administrative functions, as well as the standard office productivity suites.
These specialized software applications will require compatibility testing and possible reconfiguration for the new Windows 2000 environment.
