Though the official ranking will not be released until February of 2018, the Virginia Business and Best Companies Group announced earlier this month that the company has made the final selection in the annual list of the Best Places to Work in Virginia.
 

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. The 2018 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies of which SMS will be included.

SMS Awarded the US Air Force Provisional Enterprise Data Center (AFPEDC) Task Order

McLean, VA | October 30, 2017 - SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the federal government announced today it was awarded the Air Force Provisional Enterprise Data Center (AFPEDC) Task Order (TO) under the NETCENTS-2, NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions Small Business Contract.
 

The firm-fixed priced, $27 million DO was awarded from the Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center Base Infrastructure Branch (AFLCMC/HNIB) based out of Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB). SMS will plan, design, procure, install, configure, integrate, deploy and test the hardware and software needed to refresh and update the network, storage systems and overall capacity at both Scott AFB and Hanscom AFB. SMS will also perform the data migration from legacy equipment, configuration and verification of systems deployed with the opportunity to complete the migration of the Voice Protection System (VPS), Air Wave Management System (AWMS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Situational Awareness Modernization Program (SAMP) currently hosted on the Server Consolidation Environment (SCE).

SMS Wins Base-Level Information Technology Services (BLITS) Task Order

McLean, VA | August 07, 2017 - SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 41 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the Federal Government is proud to announce the award of the US Air Force’s (USAF) Base-Level Information Technology Services (BLITS) Task Order at Hanscom Air Force Base, under the NETCENTS-2 NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions contract.

 

The $39.9 million, three years, task order supports Hanscom Air Force Base’s (HAFB) 66th Communication and Information Squadron/Division (66th ABG/SC) mission to secure, support, and sustain information and information systems through effective and efficient service delivery. Specifically, the BLITS contract services include network infrastructure, server support, UC/Voice infrastructure, EIS/Web services, the client service center, vulnerability management & AF Enterprise Systems Support, Communications Focal Point Operations, the Wing (Installation) Cybersecurity Office (WCSO), cable plant management, and general IT asset management and IT administrative requirements.

SMS Wins Cyber Operations Network Engineering Support (CONES) Task Order

The firm fixed priced, $43 million, four and a half year TO was awarded from the Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center Cyber Sustainment Branch. SMS will provide subject matter expertise (SME) at 8 Air Force locations providing global support for the Air Force Information Network (AFIN).

The Washington Post Names SMS a “Greater Washington Top Workplace” for the Second Year in a Row

The Washington Post ranks large, mid-size and small businesses operating in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area based on an employee satisfaction survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. This survey asks employees to rate their company in 35 questions to include topics such as culture, management and organizational health.

The Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Performance Based Services Contract provides customized best value solutions to defense and other federal  agencies spanning the spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR). The RS3 Contract has a $37.4 billion ceiling with a 10-year ordering period and includes service areas of engineering, research, development, test and evaluation, logistics, acquisition and strategic planning and training services.

SMS Wins Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation Contract

McLean, VA | March 31, 2017 - SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the Federal Government announced today it was awarded the Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) contract by the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Illinois.

 

The multiple-award IDIQ contract, worth $247.7 million over three years, will provide commercial cloud solutions for all eligible Army enterprise systems/applications. The Army is moving designated IT applications, systems, and associated data to the commercial cloud and the ACCENT contract will help fulfill this critical mission.
