McLean, VA | October 8, 2024  SMS is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew Stanley to the newly established executive position of Chief Innovation Officer. With more than 20 years of dedicated service at SMS, Andrew brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership, creativity, and technical expertise.

In his new role, Andrew will lead and inspire a culture of continuous innovation, integrating cutting-edge technologies with strategic business initiatives to drive growth and competitive advantage. His outstanding ability to execute and his visionary approach make him uniquely qualified for this position.

Andrew has been instrumental in numerous successful projects at SMS. As Director of Engineering, he designed and implemented the Technical Leadership Program, now in its third year, and established the Platform Engineering Team, which is entering its third year with a growing commercial practice. His expertise has been pivotal in supporting key programs such as the Army’s Enterprise IT as a Service program, the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Joint Regional Security Stacks, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Executive Office of the President (EOP), and the Pentagon Joint Service Provider (JSP).
