SMS GSM-O Contract Win
McLean, VA | January 30, 2014 – SMS, a leading IT services provider and systems integration firm with nearly 40 years of experience providing IT solutions to the Federal Government, announced today, it will be working on the $4.6 billion (ceiling value) Global Systems Management Operations (GSM-O) contract as part of the Lockheed Martin team for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
The three-year long contract (with options to extend to seven years) with DISA is focused improving the efficiency of information exchange between joint warfighters and multiple DoD agencies. SMS’ focus will be to provide the day-to-day network related operations on the Global Information Grid (GIG) network and related services, providing core IT and telecommunications capabilities supported by the GSM-O to enable the users to meet operational needs.
