McLean, VA | June 16, 2021 – SMS announced today that it has received a 2021 Top Workplaces award by The Washington Post. The Top Workplaces identifies private, public, nonprofit and government agencies within the DC metro area with the highest ratings as voted by their employees. 

Selection was based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey where more than 3,511 DC area companies participated and only 200 eventually chosen. The survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including coaching, alignment, engagement, leadership, performance and benefits, and asked employees to evaluate employers on leadership, job satisfaction, and the overall health of their organization. SMS, in its sixth consecutive year on the list, ranked 9 of 76 mid-sized companies in the greater Washington area.
